The Colours Cross Country competition took place on Sunday February 5th. Both Men's and Women's events were well contested. Eilis Connery of UCD triumphed over the womens 3.5km course with Eimear O'Brien the next UCD athlete in 4th. The womens team however lost out with Trinity bunching their 4th 5th and 6th scorers well. Ken Nugent was the first UCD men's competitor home in 3rd wtih Patrick Costello in 4th. This time it was UCD who bunched well but the competition could not have been closer. Both teams finished on 39 points. According to the rules of the competition UCD were crowned champions because their 6th finisher was 11th overall while TCD's was 12th.
